Lead QIDP

Shifts/hours of work: Full time/Weekdays/Mon-Fri 11am-7pm
Locations: Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, Loudoun, Greater Richmond (VA)
Position Summary:
The Lead Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) is a team leader who guides the day-to-day operations of a residential services program and/or to providing direct support to individuals who may reside in one or more locations. The Lead QIDP ensures overall service development, delivery and monitoring of person-centered plans in cooperation with each individual supported. The Lead QIDP is responsible for training, mentoring, oversight of staff to ensure quality services and continuity of care. The Lead QIDP must have the capability to effectively communicate and clearly articulate the organization’s mission and philosophy to all members of their particular program or service.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Coordinates day-to-day
and clinical operations of designated program, including scheduling of staff to
assure coverage during all operating hours
· Manages the daily
allocation of program budget
· Serves as initial point
of contact and program liaison for families of individuals supported, public
and private agencies assigned to the individuals and the local community
· Coordinates and
integrates programs and services including admission, discharges, service
planning, etc. under the direction of the Clinical Director
· Prepares and maintains
all required clinical and treatment records and reports
· Monitors, evaluates, and
records client progress according to measurable goals described in the Individual
Service Plan
· Maintains confidentiality
of records according to HIPPA regulations
· Conducts in-service
training, continuing education and supervision of all persons in the program or
service. Supervision includes responsibility for approving assessments,
individualized service plans and conducting staff performance evaluations
· Under the Clinical
Director’s direction, integrates the program or service with the philosophy of
CR and follows program specific guidelines for consumer oversight and supervision
· As appropriate,
understands and promotes all relevant knowledge of Medicaid Waiver Regulations
ensuring best practice standards
· Follows Community
Residences Health, Safety, and Emergency guidelines
· Monitors quality of
facility and equipment
· Carries out
administrative duties as prescribed by program type and need
Other Job Duties:
· Intervenes and responds
to a crisis and follows the guidelines of agency policies and procedures.
· Demonstrates basic
computer skills which would include completing online agency timesheets, online
agency clinical documentation, checking agency email, and computerized online
agency training
· Oversees and/or performs
property management, completes work orders, conducts fire drills, etc.
· Performs and/or assists
in household maintenance to maintain a safe and positive environment.
· Must complete all
requirements of the environment checklist daily
Minimum Qualifications Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in a
human services field and at least two (2) years of relevant work experience.
· Must have a valid
driver’s license
· Supervisory experience
preferred
· Must have experience with
the ID/DD population and behavior management principles
· Must have experience with
individuals with physical disabilities
Physical Demands:
· Requires light and/or
heaving lifting, repetitive bending, sight, hearing, and ability to move with
ease.
· Requires some physical
intervention for hazardous behavior
Working Environment:
Residential home and community
Supervision Exercised: Under direct supervision of the Clinical Director, Program Director or Program Manager (as assigned)
