Providing your candidates with the negative feedback of clients following an interview is crucial for several reasons. Not only will it give the applicants the closure they deserve regarding the specific position, but it will also help them identify any areas of weakness to work on prior to future interviews.
As a recruiter, these applicants put their trust in you to find a suitable job. That being said, your job is not over once they have been rejected! It is your responsibility to provide them with whatever feedback you received from the client, and explain the reason for rejection to the applicant. Additionally, this demonstrates your respect to your candidates. It’s their right to know!
