Some candidates include a lot of key words and mention technologies that are currently needed in the market in order for their résumés to appear on most search engines, even if they do not have experience or familiarity with them.

I strongly disagree with this method and advise against it, as lying or exaggerating on a résumé can often backfire on candidates throughout the interview process. Employers will realize their faults when they fail to provide technical or intelligent input about the subject or specific technology, which is a red flag and absolute deal-breaker for most.

I have personally witnessed candidates losing positions due to their dishonesty, so be sure to be truthful when constructing your résumé, and remember: you can always learn additional skills that you feel will enhance your opportunities in the workplace!
