ID Department: Clinical ID/DD Waiver
Supervisor: Clinical Director
Location: NoVA (Overseeing 1 programs; 1 in Alexandria, VA & 1 in Burke, VA. Main offices will be located in both programs.)
Schedule: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm (to expect it to vary, based on the needs of the programs, with on-call responsibilities, and possible weekends.)

Position Summary:
The Program Director serves as the leader at the programs in their scope of oversight and contributes to the creation of environments that enable CRi to fulfill its mission and meet or exceed its goals. The Program Director must have the capability to effectively communicate and clearly articulate the organization’s mission and philosophy to all members of their particular programs or service. The Program Director also supports and encourages staff members to act with appropriate authority and responsibility in their work processes and must possess skills to delegate and empower staff. The Program Director is ultimately responsible for the quality of care and the physical environment of the programs they supervise.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develops and manages the program budget.
· Responsible for the quality of facility and equipment ensuring all are healthy, safe, attractive and functional.
· Serves as initial point of contact and agency liaison for families, public and private agencies working with program’s individuals and the immediate and extended community.
· Supports the Clinical Director in working with funders and other agency partners and implements plans as directed.
· Coordinates and integrates programs and services including admission, discharges, service planning, etc.
· Conducts orientation, in-service training, continuing education and supervision of all persons in the program or service to ensure all staff are competent and qualified.
· Supervisions includes responsibility for approving assessments, individualized service plans and reassessments.
· Ensures the staffing allocation plans are implemented in accordance with approved individual-staff ratios.
· Ensures quality of record keeping. · Implements a defined set of patient rights and responsibilities.
· Implements approved clinical policies and procedures and service philosophy.
· Ensures financial and budgetary compliance of the program.
· Responsible for implementing Performance Improvement activities according to CRi’s policy and procedures.
· Maintains program’s compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Serves as part of the clinical leadership team.
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in a field related to working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
· Minimum five (5) years of experience in the ID/DD field with supervisory experience of at least 4 people.
· Must qualify as a QDDP (to qualify as a QDDP, must have a Bachelor’s degree in human services).
· Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, supervisory and writing skills as well as experience with assessments, program development/coordination, budgets, crisis intervention, service planning, community relations and public speaking.
· Must have broad and diverse range of skills to effectively manage all aspects related to this position

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree

Physical Demands:
· Requires some lifting of individuals and program supplies/equipment.
· Intensive physical intervention for hazardous behaviors and assistance with care of the individuals.

Working Environment:
· Residential program
· Typical office environment

Supervision Exercised:
Directly supervises all program staff. Will be supervising around 16 people combined for both programs.

Supervision Received:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Clinical Services.
